About me

I am Omer Umut Gunes, a final-year student at Galatasaray High School, ranking among the top 99.98% in the national high school entrance exam. My academic journey blends the Turkish national curriculum with a strong focus on multilingual and interdisciplinary learning, including advanced studies in English and French.

I have achieved high scores in standardized tests such as the SAT, IELTS and DALF, and earned distinctions in AP subjects and international STEM olympiads, including gold in mathematics. My educational experiences extend beyond the classroom through research internships in biotechnology and sustainable design, as well as participation in competitive summer programs.

In addition to academics, I actively engage in leadership and extracurricular activities as the President of my school’s tennis club, a licensed tennis player, and a volunteer for community initiatives. I have also published research-based and cultural articles, reflecting my interest in combining science, technology, and societal impact. My goal is to bring together creativity, analytical thinking, and global perspectives to design solutions that address real-world challenges.
